As I was getting ready to take the dog for a walk The Lord said…”Put a You Are Card in your pocket.” We have lived in our lake home for about 2 1/2 years and I have gone on hundreds of walks in that time. Not any other time has the Lord instructed me to bring a card on a walk. As I went to grab a card The Lord told me to grab the ‘green one’. As I was going on my walk I thought I’d run into someone to give the card to. I did not. But then the Lord highlighted a tree to me; so, I set the card at the base of the tree trunk and went on my way.
The next day I went for a walk and the card was still there.
The next day I again go for a walk and the card was there, but the wind had blown it over. I flip it back up and go along my way.
The next day on my walk the card now has branches holding it up. It made me smile that someone else saw it and wanted it to be held up for others to see.
Then the next day the card was gone. I figured the person that God wanted to have that card came by:)
…and then the email came

I walk the trails by Cedar Lake with my friend occasionally. It always leaves me feeling in a better mood. Not just because of the exercise, but because it gives us a chance to talk about life. Our marriages, finances, our kids, weight loss, jobs, all kinds of subjects get covered on these trails. On Friday November 17, 2023, we were walking when I came across the green paper saying "You are Patient.....". My friend has never seen these on the trails and she lives right there.
I just recently started a bible study with local girls. I've never been really religious, but we finally found a church we like. My marriage has had many ups and downs over 18 years. I lost my Mom in 2014 which has impacted me tremendously. I'm always asking her for signs or to help lead me to where I need to be. This friend I was walking with gave me a sign once that said "Be Still". Reading this card that says, ..”this short time of distress will result in God's richest blessing upon us forever and ever!" It's hard to be patient sometimes but I have to continue to trust I am where I need to be.
Someday I'll be able to look back and say, "now I get it".
